Valheim is a cooperative open-world survival and exploration game set in a vast, procedurally generated purgatory inspired by Norse mythology. As a fallen warrior chosen by Odin, you’ll traverse diverse biomes—from peaceful meadows and dark forests to deadly swamps, icy mountains, and windswept plains—each with distinct resources, enemies, and powerful bosses.
Gather materials, craft tools and weapons, and build fortified bases to withstand the wilds. Sail hand-built longships across dangerous seas, cook meals and brew mead to boost your abilities, and tame or farm creatures to support long-term survival. Combat is skill-based and stamina-driven, rewarding timing, blocking, parrying, and strategic positioning.
Play solo or with up to 10 players, with support for dedicated servers and flexible world and character persistence. A stylized low-poly art direction, dynamic lighting and weather, and an atmospheric soundtrack create a world that feels both harsh and beautiful.
